Ever since I was a little kid, I’ve enjoyed System of a Down. Everything they’ve released I enjoy. When they went on Hiatus, I was extremely upset. I’m very glad to hear that their going to tour again — although all of their dates are outside of the US, which is where I live. I doubt I’ll be able to get a plane ticket out just to see my favorite band.
System of a Down is not only great because of their ability to make the most messed up lyrics, but they’ve managed to make their own genre. They don’t fit into a single stereotype or group. They’re just, System.
If System doesn’t come to the US, I’ll be disappointed.

When Toxicity came out, my father bought it and he listened to it a bit. He wasn’t incredibly into System, but I sure got into it. I loved Chop Suey. I know it’s like their biggest single so everyone knows it, but I loved it.
I wasn’t that much into it, although, until they released Mesmerize. I really got into that album, and when Hypnotize came out, I was hooked. I fell in love with System of a down. I got every album, and listened to them constantly. I think I listened to them more than the time I spent at school.
Daron Malakian is my favorite member of the band, though I love them all almost equally. Just Daron a bit more. I don’t know what it is about him. Maybe it’s the fact that he’s batshit crazy, just like me.
